Resident guide
Five minutes, once. Then the gate, your dues and notices are all in your pocket.
1. Get invited
Your society committee adds your email address against your flat. Use the email you check most, and tell the committee exactly that address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, it must be the same email as that account.
2. Sign in
Open amacomplex.com on your phone and tap Sign in. Choose Continue with Google or Apple, or create an account with your email and a password. You land directly in your flat. If you see "Are you a resident or a guard?", the committee has not added your email yet, or it is a different one.
3. Add it to your home screen
iPhone: in Safari tap the Share button (square with an arrow), then Add to Home Screen, then Add. Open amacomplex from the new icon from now on. This step is required for alerts on iPhone.
Android: in Chrome tap the three dots, then Add to Home screen (or Install app).
4. Turn on alerts
On the Visitors screen tap Turn on alerts and allow. Your phone will now buzz when someone is at the gate, when a bill is generated, and when the committee posts a notice, even with the screen off.
iPhone, if you hear no sound: go to Settings, Notifications, amacomplex, and switch on Sounds and Lock Screen. Alerts are silent while a Focus mode like Sleep or Do Not Disturb is on. If you wear an Apple Watch, the alert goes to the watch when the phone is locked.
Everyday use
- Visitors: a card appears when someone is at the gate. Tap Allow in or Deny. The guard sees your answer instantly.
- Passes: expecting a guest, delivery, or daily help? Create a pass and share the 6-digit code. The guard lets them in without disturbing you. One-time passes expire automatically; recurring passes work until you cancel.
- Dues: see what you owe and your bill history. Online payment is coming; until then pay the committee and it shows as paid here.
- Help: raise a complaint, follow updates from the committee, rate the fix when done.
- Notices: everything the committee has announced, newest first.
Questions
I moved flats or sold up. Tell the committee; they update your flat or remove access.
I changed my phone. Sign in on the new phone, add to home screen, turn on alerts again.
Family members? Each person needs their own invite from the committee, on their own email, so each phone gets alerts.
